Rhode Island Geocaches

Rhode Island Caches

Geocaching has become a really fun way for us to add to our adventures. Whenever we go somewhere, we find ourselves popping open the app to see what’s nearby. We don’t have a hand-held GPS so we use the phone app. If you would like to learn more about Geocaching in general, please read my blog post about Geocaching. I explain all the basic terms and what exactly Geocaching is. I also show and list what some of the containers look like that people use.

WTF?!?

WTF?!? Cache

Date: May 9th, 2018
Type of Cache: Plastic Bag
Location: Westerly Town Forest
City: Westerly

Description: This cache is located on the yellow trail through us for a little loop. We were looking for a large ammo can. It looks like someone may have “borrowed” the ammo can. The cache was just a plastic bag filled with soggy contents. It was still a nice find.

Date: May 9th, 2018
Type of Cache: Medium-Sized Cylinder
Location: Westerly Town Forest
City: Westerly

Description: We almost got lost following this trail trying to find the water. At one point when we got close to the water, it looked like the trail was covered with fallen trees. We fumbled our way to the cache and then found a different way to the water. The cache was a relatively easy find. When we left the water, we actually were able to find our way around the trees and back onto the trail.
