The RV Museum is actually located at the rear of Jack Sisemore Traveland RV dealership. You will need to walk through the main showroom and walk out the back and into another building. There was an extremely nice young lady at a desk when you first walk in and she directed us towards the door we needed to go through to get to the museum.
Once you step inside you immediately feel like you have taken a step back in time. There are some old campers that you can actually go in and look at. Don’t forget to duck as the entry door are not quite as tall as they are today…lol
They have the building set up as you would have seen years ago with old diner, gas station, and even motorcycle displays. You can see the converted bus motorhome that was used in the movie RV.
If you are in the Amarillo area and love RV’s, you should check this out. We found it very interesting to see the way the older RV’s were designed. Oh, and did I mention it’s free!!!
