Bus Conversion

One of the choices you can make is converting a bus into an RV. There are a few companies out there that do these conversions but they are not cheap. The biggest advantage of bus conversions is that buses generally speaking are built to last a long time with the proper maintenance. They are originally built to carry a lot of passengers so they have a lot more safety features and cargo-carrying capacities built into them. The alternative to spending a ton of money to have one converted by a company is to do the work yourself. If you are handy and patient, this could be a lot of fun and you can build it with all the features you want to have.

The Alternative

The alternative to spending a ton of money to have one converted by a company is to do the work yourself. If you are handy and patient, this could be a lot of fun and you can build it with all the features you want to have. If you undertake this project, you will need to have skills in plumbing, carpentry, electric, and automotive. Unless of course, you can coerce some friends in the different trades to help out along the way. Maybe with some pizza and beer. Of course, the beer would be for the end of the day, not while you are building…lol.

Pros:

Built to last longer than most RVs
More cargo carrying weight capacity’s than most RVs

Cons:

Cost of conversion
Maintenance costs
