Andrew Jackson State Park features camping (see our review under campgrounds for the campground section), boating, fishing, a museum and much more.

Named after the only president born in South Carolina (according to Wikipedia), this park has a little bit of everything. There is a museum all about Andrew Jackson’s life.

In the area surrounding the museum/camp store, there are statues, a replica of an 18th Century Schoolhouse, and a nature trail. Oh yeah, I should say there just might be some Geocaches on that trail…lol.

As you come off the nature trails you will come across a meeting house for group gatherings. Walk a little further and you’ll see a nice amphitheater for community events.

If you are more of a water person, there are boat rentals and fishing in the lake. Note- No gas-powered boats are allowed in the lake. There are also covered picnic areas throughout the park.

Overall this is a nice park to spend the day with family and friends. One thing I should mention is there is no wifi but Verizon signal was good.
